Beekeeping Festival
Like the Beekeeping Festival, the traditional Honey Days organised annually by the Slovenian Beekeepers Association in cooperation with individual beekeepers associations will take place next year during the Apimedica and Apiquality 2010 Forum. As part of the Beekeeping Festival, Bled, Dolenjske Toplice, Lipica and Maribor will host a sales exhibition with local beekeepers showcasing their products. They will prepare a diverse social programme and lectures for the broader public. Foreign participants of the Forum will have the opportunity to feel the throb and authenticity of the Slovenian towns and countryside.
The purpose of the Beekeeping Festival is to draw the public’s attention to beekeeping as a healthy way of life, to facilitate the use of bee products in nutrition and medicine and to point out the importance of bees for the preservation of the natural environment.
