About Ljubljana
Ljubljana is pleased to welcome the Apimedica & Apiquality 2010 Forum
Since Apimondia in 2003, Ljubljana has a lot of new to offer. The streets of the historic part have been refurbished and transformed into an attractive pedestrian zone. With this, the experience of visiting the Old Town along the green Ljubljanica river, including the major sights and at least some among the many original shops, bars and restaurants, has become even more pleasant and unforgettable. Not to be missed, the colourful central market, where local honey and related products are also on offer among other delicacies.
We invite you to discover the treasures of the city museums and galleries, catch a stunning panorama from the Castle viewing tower or feel the embrace of nature in Tivoli Park - all of this can be easily reached within walking distance.

»Slovenia offers many attractions both to the beekeeper for its advanced beekeeping sector, lush nature, abundance of nectar flora and the uncontaminated landscape and to the tourist for its rich historical background and architecture of its cities and villages.
Its location, right in the heart of Europe, also served very nicely to our purpose of selecting
a venue that could act as a hinge between western and eastern Europe without
neglecting the fundamental contribution of central Europe.
The multilingual and cosmopolitan features so typical of Slovenia were also very attractive to us in view of meeting the needs of the participants in our congress that literally come from every corner of the world.
Ljubljana in itself was also the ideal city that is neither too big nor too little to play host to our international event with all the essential facilities and services ready at hand. One of our concerns in choosing this venue was to ensure that the participants in our forthcoming congress would feel at home in Ljubljana and, like in an elegant lounge, be able to meet as they strolled along the streets after the congress sessions to emphasise the important social nature and role of our main event for 2003.
