Contests Committee
Competences of Committe members: Apimedica and Apiquality sections are leading by the corresponding presidents of Apimondia omissions, dr. Theodore Cherbulieze and Mr. Etienne Bruneau. International members are invited speakers (see description in “Invited Speakers”). Slovene scientific program coordinator is Dr. Janko Božič from Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. He is bee biologist, specialist in behavior and physiology and also involved in development of new beekeeping product. Slovene members of Apimedica sections are Prof. Dr. Dragica Smrke from University Medical Center Ljubljana with recent research activity in honey wound dressing, two medical doctors Majda Kurinčič Tomšič and Franc Grošelj, who are actively introducing Apitherpay in medical practice in Slovenia. In Apiquality section, Dr. Peter Kozmus is current leader of beekeeping research and professional activities at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, covering beekeeping technology and quality of bee products, Mrs. Mojca Jamnik is PhD candidate doing research on honey quality assesment in the group of Prof. Dr. Terezija Golob at Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana.
